Now meet Zoro and Sanji, two of my favorite guys from the pirate manga and anime series, One Piece. 8D
Zoro is the strong, silent type. He wields 3 katana at once. But he has a terrible sense of direction and gets lost at the drop of a hat. Sanji is a foul-mouthed chef who uses his legs to fight (because, he says, a chef needs to protect his hands) but when he's with the ladies, he's super sweet. Zoro and Sanji, being the manly men that they are despite being pirate crewmates, constantly fight and argue with each other. And so they are many fangirls' OTP. (And no, if you don't know what OTP stands for in the anime fandom, you don't want to know. Trust me on this one. ;D )
My Zoro and Sanji figures are about 22cm (nearly 9in) tall. They stand on my table, right next to the computer's speakers, where I can see them every day. Heh. I'm a huge One Piece fangirl. This manga series has been going on for more than 10 years and, according to Oda Eiichiro, its creator, the story is only at its halfway point! To date, I own 60 volumes of the manga. I've watched up to episode 529 of the TV series. I've collected the CDs, artbooks, posters, calendars, T-shirts and figures. As far as I'm concerned, it's the greatest story I've ever read. I hope to live long enough to see how it all ends! 8D
By the time I discovered one piece, it was about 400+ chapters deep...wouldn't dare trying to catch up cos I'm pretty sure I'll be way too addicted!! er ehm, I do know what OTP means btw ;)

Great composition, they are posed with intention. They ares faces that say serious stuff. Love all the details about anime. I have a niece who is totally into this and I believe has some of the clothes too.
They do have a menacing appearance . . for dolls, that is. What an interesting story. And this is the first time that I've heard of it. (The story, that is!) What century do I live in? lol You've taken this photo and made it appear very dramatic and real. That's another side of your talent. The angle and lighting are superb!
I didn't have time to read your narrative but I'll say your composition on the shot is great. Love the DOF. It creates an irony of the shot and your title. Nicely done.
Haha ... you are a real fan! Love your passion! Last week I saw a shop here in Shanghai with millions (almost ;) of these figures. Thanks to you and your photos I know a little bit more about them. And hey ... they are quite expensive! However, great composition and angle here!
