This is my last "people shot" from my trip to the Buddhist temple in Waterloo Street on Thursday. I added grain and vignette.
These devotees were facing the street at the entrance of the temple as they prayed. You can see that there are people behind them who faced the interior of the temple. They are perfect strangers who live separate lives, who pray in their own ways, but their devotion to the same faith has brought them together, if only for a few moments that day.
Khalil Gibran: "I love you when you bow in your mosque, kneel in your temple, pray in your church. For you and I are sons of one religion, and it is the spirit."
Beautiful photo and great expression on their faces. Love this in b&w and perfect processing. Interesting pov of how they all come together and respect each other's worship.. Like Gibran's words.
Fabulous shot and a fav for me. the quote from Kahlil Gibran, I've never heard it, but I love it. I think those are words that everyone should learn to love.
A great, big, theme-conscious, really heartfelt "THANK YOU!" to everyone!
I say this every day and I mean every word, I appreciate so much that you have taken some time out of your busy schedules to stop by and leave a comment. I'm grateful. Street photography isn't easy at all but I am very glad my Lumix has a fantastic zoom. Thank you for your encouraging words, I find them a source of great inspiration.
