I get distracted easily. So, even at the zoo, even though I was there to shoot the animals (that sounds so wrong), I soon found myself looking at the trees, the flowers, the ponds, the stones, even the signs.
Love the texture (Or lines ?) of the web The regularity is amazing The B+W is perfect to this pic. A great found and a beautiful capture and processing
What a beautiful web shot. I am the same since on 365. I do not just look at certain things, I look at the entire picture of what is around. There is so much beauty in so many places.
So gorgeous, Livia .. almost looks like a woven basket! Only much more beautiful considering what made it! You captured it perfectly with your pov and the b&w is amazing with this. Beautiful find and great eye.
Wonderful detail in your web. I like the black and white. Ironically, this Friday I was listening to National Public Radio's Science Friday and the question was, "Why don't spiders get stuck in their own webs?"
Now this is some Web!! Just think of all the poems you could match up with this awesome picture! Love the Black and white definitly brings out all the great details!FAB & FAV!!! :)
I agree, what a perfectly shaped web - fantastic discovery. Amazing how clearly every line is visible - no idea how you achieved this but it looks great.
that makes me laugh....it's always nice to know i'm not the only lunatic with a camera! I go to the zoo and do the exactly the same...everyone just leaves me behind, lol!! This is amazing.....fave!
Gorgeous! I had to laugh about how you look at the birds, trees, bugs, webs, etc.. at the zoo. I am horrible about that now. I do it when standing outside talking to neighbors too. Bad! I noticed in your pic and one of my recently, that some webs, the threads that go around the spider...they bow in towards the spider. Others, bow away from the spider. This one here on yours bows in and makes a flower shape. Very pretty! Spiders are amazing weavers!
@noragentian I took this web shot with my Lumix compact. The web was some distance away so I had to zoom. The difficult part was getting all of the web to show up against the sunlight just right. At other angles, it wouldn't show completely. So I had to move back and forth, up and down, several times to get this shot. It was quite fun to do it. 8)
A big, great, interlaced, finely woven, sunshine-drenched, bright and happy "THANK YOU!" to everyone!
Thank you so much for stopping by. Thank you for your kind words and support. This web was a great distraction and find, and fun to shoot. I appreciate your comments and faves and I feel grateful and humbled.
I'm guessing it isn't processed at all, knowing you - whatever you did - your settings or whatever - it's fantastic - looks to be made of string rather than web.
haha- I always feel a little funny when I say I'm going to go shoot some birds.
And there's nothing wrong with being observant. :)
i can't believe the detail you got in this shot, awesome! aren't webs amazing?!?! fav for me Livia!
