Changed my profile picture, and thought I should explain it. 8P
Last year, I was into making ACEOs. (Stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals.) I made mine with felt, sewing everything by hand, using my own designs. On the back of each ACEO are the title, the creator's name, the number, the date. Each ACEO is supposed to be unique, one of a kind, that's why the need for a number. Because a few people who had seen my photos of these ACEOs wanted to buy them, I opened an Etsy shop, sold them, then closed the shop. I had no intention of selling them on a long-term basis. I made them for fun. Making them solely for sale would make it truly un-fun for me to make them at all.
Most of the ones I've made, I actually still have them. They aren't for sale because I'm personally attached to them! *LOL* Not all of them are cats like these. I made some girls, some fishes, some flowers.
My profile picture comes from the one in the bottom right of the collage. It's an orange cat looking at a fish dangling above him. I called it Temptation. Haha. The black kitty is looking at two butterflies that are actually metal charms. The fishbone above the pink kitty is also a metal charm. Everything is cut by hand, using my eyes to judge the shape. I don't use patterns. (I like doing things recklessly oh yes I do. 8P ) Stitches are rough on purpose. I like the crazy, every-which-way, cartoonish look.
Each ACEO is 3.5in by 2.5in (8.8cm by 6.5cm). I used felt that had been created from recycling plastic bottles.
And if you have fallen asleep and then woken up after reading all those boring and unnecessary details, well, at least now you know you have something to read that will cure insomnia! 8D
Those are so adorable......so cute and colourful, and how talented are you :-) I'd imagine they would sell like hotcakes over at Etsy, although selling things over and over can take the fun out of making things :-)

You're so creative! My sewing skills are pathetic and my imagination is worse - so I envy how you create these. Etsy is such a great place to find and support local artists - love that website. :)
You have the most wonderful sense of humor and I love reading your comments. These cat ACEOs are adorable & so unique and it seems like they would really go over big....like you could probably make big $$$$ out this project. But like you say, it's un-fun and probably complicated. I would certainly buy these if I saw them at a shop!

So Unique Livia! I know i would buy them! I love home made hand made gifts and i usually say Oh i am going to buy this for so and so...and then i end up keeping them for myself to enjoy! Not all the time but sometimes!! :)..Great collage!
