Trying to shoot bees is even harder than trying to shoot butterflies. The honeybees here are tiny, they are barely 1cm (0.3in), and they are very fast. If I get a clear shot at all, it's clearly a lucky shot. 8P
Beautiful dof and such clarity on the bee!! Love the focus and the colors of this. How well I know how hard it is to get a bee. Have tried for weeks and no success. This is gorgeous work.
Yep - I have lots of moving bee butts, and other pieces parts too. The journey is fun though. This is a pretty catch of the process. :-) I especially love the wings...
I was about to give a busy as a bee comment, but they already flourished, so I just say this is a great bee shot with the bee hanging there from the petals.
Very encouraging to see honeybees... their numbers plummeted here in the states a few years ago due to a disease or fungus. They are slowly coming back... Nicely composed, Livia!
Wonderful shot Livia! Bee's are indeed difficult, and not just because they're quick, but because I'm always worried that I'll get stung if I get too close!
Bees! Don't get me started on bees. Been tryin for a few days to capture one. Why are they in such a hurry? Why can't they just sit for a moment, relax...take a load off? Cool capture. Like the colors.
A great, big, quick-flying, boldly striped and bee-utiful "THANK YOU!" to all! Bees are hard to shoot but I can't seem to resist trying whenever I see them. I've seen bigger and slower bees but I'm afraid to get stung, so I'm relatively more comfortable being around the tiny bees even though they are much faster and harder to capture. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and leave a comment. Please know that I am grateful!
What a great shot, Livia. I hear you and have not come close to this. Mine are so blurry and we have small and large bees. Everything that flies seems to fly fast.
I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend. 8)
