I think the B&W probably helps bring out the markings Livia. The detail and composition are terriffic...three days without a bug? Have I been missing something? :)
A great time of my life there only was B+W. You have to look different to it . It`s no compere. In art I`ve only one law, what have they done with it to impress me. You succeeded mightly
I like the mono on this - often the colour covers up any deficiencies, whereas in mono it has to be correct everywhere. - And you have got it correct!!
I love to take something that I would normally shoot in color and put it into b/w. I think that this actually helps me to work with color better. (And the reverse is also true!) Great shot!
I never thought flowers should be shot in b&w - then someone suggested that you see more details when the photo is in b&w - I tried it, and he was right! Wonderful catch, Livia!
A great, big, monochromatic, soft toned and flowery "THANK YOU!" to everyone! Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to stop by. It was fun processing the shot to see how it would look without color. The flowers are originally a sweet pink. Thank you so much for your supportive comments. I am grateful.
Even though there's no color, I think they still retain their beauty. So much detail they convey, which is accentuated perfectly by your capture. Love the textures, lighting and composition of the capture.
It's a great edit Livia. The structure of the flower is wonderful in itself and the lack of colour allows us to concentrate on that. Love it! A fav for me!
