The old train tracks have been ripped out and turned into paths to walk, jog, bike, ride a skateboard, or walk your dog. This trail goes on for many miles, it starts off as a smooth path then later turns to gravel. My husband and I ride our bikes and start at different points along this path. I am getting anxious to get started again. Although this path may look plain during the spring & summer there are a lot of interesting things to see as well as cool plant life & wildflowers. I didn't have time to go on the path today. I went out to dinner with my mom, but on my way to pick her up I thought I would quick snap a shot. There really wasn't a lot of time for photography. I tried getting a portrait of my mom but she asked me to put my camera away - I did.
What a good daughter to do as your mother wished. This is a great shot and I had never heard of this before . What a wonderful idea. I have to agree with everyone else about the perspective and composition.
Haha--I totally understand your mom's point of view!! This looks awesome--we have similar paths around here. I love how they change with the seasons :)
Nice shot. Thought I knew all rail trails on Cape. This one is not familiar looking. I'm on Brewster Bikeways ( facebook, Brewster Bikes) and collect signs from CCRT. Will you send me this pic? jclarke427@aol.com
Interesting idea. Old railway lines tend to get built over round here - I can see how you would enjoy exploring the former line and no cars to worry about.
Nice shot. We have trails like this here to where old railroad tracks have been converted. I can not wait for all of the snow to be gone here so I can get out and explore ther river valley once again
isn't it so great that they are doing this? i know lots of communities have done the same. you composed your shot perfectly and the golden color of the grasses is so pretty!
