We went on a Kyack excersion through the waters surrounded by mongose plants. Afterwards we were treated to a light lunch and time at the beautiful Gold Rock Beach. This beach has been awarded as the #4 best beach in the world to visit. Because we went kyacking I decided to bring my point n shoot camera and not risk my Nikon dslr.
Beautiful colors and I love the reflected clouds on the very shallow water at the edge of the beach... and again... I love the beach! Hopefully I will have some great beach photos in January.
@myhrhelper We are going on a 7-day cruise to Cabo and Puerta Vallarta, leaving out of LA. It is our family Christmas gift this year, but is a couple of weeks after Christmas... much cheaper in Jan. than during the holiday season! :)
@marilyn Oh I know the December cruises are twice as much! How wonderful! What cruise line will you be going on? The cruise I just returned from was NCL and I've also been on Royal Carribean.
@myhrhelper We are going Carnival... we have already been on one Carnival cruise and decided to stick with it. If you cruise often enough with them you begin to get some perks, so we wil probably continue with Carnival on all the future cruises I hope to go on! :)
@djepie No it isn't lake Okeechobee or any lake. Gold Rock Beach is on the Grand Bahama Island, I'm not sure how far from Freeport.
The hurricane did do some damage to the island - we went there the week after the storm. Our private island day was cancelled because of the damage due to the storm. We were safe since it was after the storm passed this area and headed further north. We were so happy to finally go on a vacation after all those years.
A great shot from a great camera, until recently we had an a470 and an a490. I can't remember the model number but my first digital camera was a 3.2mp canon powershot too.
such glorious blues and greens! btw, I'm presently checking with Jerry (orangecrush) to see if he'd be willing to host the next camera settings challenge... i'll work on a back-up plan in case he isn't able to... tx!
