Tent caterpillars stay together as a group in a tent they build of webbing,They come out at night to feed. These tents can get really messy and dirty..like a frat house.

I have to admit, these are not my favorite critters, but I certainly understand the idea of beauty everywhere. I have a wonderful friend from South Africa who came to visit us a few years ago. He is a great photographer, and at one point I found him taking shots of these caterpillars in their tents- he was completely unfamiliar with them, and just saw them as interesting a beautiful.
@fricka its true...when you see anything for the first time there is magic in it.That us how I try to see things.And with my macro...I am seeing things for the first time!
