Grandpa Antonio

For Throw Back Thursday (tbth)Took a photo of a photo I took of my Grandpa lonnnnnnng ago with my Pentax k-1000.
His tiny little Brooklyn garden was where I learned to love gardening and insects.( And tattoos) My grandpa had a mermaid tattoo on his inner arm that he could make "dance" .Miss him every day. :)
What great memories. Your pictures makes the garden look huge.

I'm kinda hoping you don't have tat's of pin-up girls... Not that there's anything wrong with that! ;-)

This looks like an allotment or community garden.

My Nana taught me most all I know about connecting with Nature and Place. She was very respectful of the Nature Devas. The Nanas and the Grandpas of this world have very special roles and that extra special ability to make the young feel so special.

This is a beautiful share, Hope!

I love how he is still gardening and the use of a walking stick didn't stop him being active. Must have been a real character.
