Festive Fungi by mzzhope

Festive Fungi

Found this group of cheery mushrooms yesterday in the woods. The green background is a ground cover called Vinca. It has naturalized in the forest from the abandoned property next to my cabin.
Beautiful shot and a great pov!

I really like this one, Hope. Cannot decide whether they look more like fans or seashells. Lovely find!

You can really see how they get their nick name in this shot- Turkey Tails. Nicely captured!

So cool to have vinca growing naturally! On Beaver Island, I've been trying to grow a patch of it for about 12 years and it's still very spotty. These mushrooms look like they are at attention or clamoring for someone to see them!

wonderful capture, love the textures. Is it vinca minor, also known as periwinkle? I've got tons of it!

Love the way they are all at attention and arranged by height. Just like the von Trapps from the bedtime scene in the Sound of Music!
