@mzzhope Sadly rabbits are considered a pest. They get to plague proportions, just as you suggested. Just 150km down the coast in New South Wales, you can have pet rabbits.
OMG love them! How sweet! This summer I found two lop-eared bunnies hopping across the street as I was taking A to the park. I am a saver, but my husband is a keeper, so those two belong to us now...Snow White and Clover! :) http://365project.org/luvmynynix/365/2013-09-01
@luvmynynix thank you for saving them,Laurie!I work with a bunny rescue group and rabbits one if the most abandoned pets!your white bun looks like my Archie. He isn't a lop ,but one ear lays down.
@mzzhope I was actually shocked when people kept telling me they weren't lost, that someone let them go! I can't even imagine! In my area it is amazing that they weren't eaten by a coyote before I got to them. My husband is such a softy...he immediately built them a palace under A's playset (but of course they are inside now that it is so cold!
They are lovely, Hope. You are an absolute rarity, folks here in Oz don't get them desexed and they are released and become plague proportions regularly. The government released myxomatosis years back and it's still in effect in the country. It's horrible to see. I'm so glad you have looked after your so well.
