This week,the Madhatters are focusing on Urban Legends.I think all children believe that figures and statues come to life at night.The kids in my neighborhood were fascinated with my neighbors gargoyle statues.We were sure they roamed the neighborhood as soon as we went to bed.I was never frightened of that idea.I saw them as protectors.Like a cross between a watch dog and the flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz ( those monkeys were not evil..just loyal to the witch!) I now have gargoyle statues on my own property.I still believe they come to life at night.Prove me wrong.:)
