I was in Winchester Cathedral on a moist, foggy, grey day. Early evening drew in heralding a sudden burst of watery sunlight from the Westering sun. Gorgeous purple and orange light beams were cast aloft. Patterns of the immortal stone and the ephemeral light combined in a glory of colour that lasted a fleeting moment... then faded to a memory.

Beautiful. That detail in the ceiling is exquisite. What an experience. Going to and photographing a cathedral is on my Bucket List.
