Well, an interesting object shown last time. In fact an object with a 'hole' host of uses. It was of course a hole punch for cutting two holes in stationery. Did you get it right? Congratulations! A hole in one! (That was a truly awful joke - wasn't it?).
Honourable mentions...

These people got it right...
Brandie (first in.... yaaay!); Kim; Brumbe; Lora G; Shirley Chetwynd; Alison Bailey; Mike Warren; Wendy; Dione Giorgio; Denise; Lisa Pouncy; Mark Buehl; Naomi; Paula Cook-Farkas;

Paula x2 Brumbe - Oh it is the ever rare tool that I tried to throw across the office because it was not taking the appropriate circular bits of paper out of my important papers I was going to put in a binder. Net says:-->> Absolutely... a deadly hole maker of the first degree, unfortunately nearly hunted to extinction in every office. LOL. Nice one.
Sue Wilde - This is obviously a confetti maker. Used to create huge mess on my office carpet. Net says:-->> Absolutely right and a Doohicky Award for inventive replies! Yeeehaa!
Mike Warren - Looks like the hing and spring on a hole punch. Net says:-->> I am guessing that is the lesser spotted 'hing' part you're refering to there? LOL. Correctomundo! Yeehaaa!
robinwarner - that is so funny..i was going to say the underside of the Jack to lift the car up....oh well, i was going to be wrong anyway. Net says:-->> Well, yes, er, definitely wrong! But what a blast! LOL. Like the idea. A Doohicky Award! Yeeeha!

Lesley Barber - Inside a clock? Net says:-->> A timely, but incorrect answer... LOL. Nice idea though! LOL.
Mark Buehl - I will have to agree with the paper punch group. I work at FedEx Office (Kinkos) so I handle those daily, fixing what customers mess up. So it was easy for me (that is if I am correct). Net says:-->> Actually... Correct. But an interesting hedging of your bets there.
Naomi - No idea! Hole punch...? Net says:-->> Well some idea at least! LOL> Correct Yeeehaaaaa!
Mimi Ditchie - A hinge? Net says:-->> Well, it is sort of hinged. But it is not a hinge. So wrong on this occassion, but don't you just love the sound of that word hinge... hmmm! Hinge. Hinge... hinged. Honged... handged. Hinge... mmmm.
Bev - A metal object that when used properly it can make one heck of a self defense weapon. Net says:-->> True! Used improperly it can make one hell of a hole! Actually, used properly it can make two holes as well. Interesting! LOL
Paula Cook-Farkas - Holey office gadgets! I'd be lost without this at work! Or maybe I should say...de-holey office gadget! Net says:-->> Fun! One of the things in life that actually gives you something by taking away something. What an interesting twist to this tale of office inspiration. LOL> Nicely done.
Thanks for stopping by everyone. Have a nice day!
See you soon...
My second thought was that it's the 'elbow' part of an anglepoise lamp. It's very clean. Do you polish your mystery objects so they look their best when you take their portraits?
