Identify This! No.65

Todays object is a fitting subject - can you work out what it is?
More about "Identify This"... http://365project.org/netkonnexion/number03/2011-05-11

Yestderday you saw...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yesterday was apparently difficult... Not a very good result for everyone except Camille Bisson...
"Gold necklace being whipped past the camera quickly".
Congratulations Camille - outstanding! You spotted that it was a necklace. I captured it swinging whilst around my mothers neck. It was in fact pearl, but was reflecting a low golden glow. Well done. Ya beat 'em all!
Some great ideas came out however, so watch out for the awards tonight...
Honorable mentions to...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sara's Dad - cordoroy zipper. Net says:-->> Wow, no idea there was such a thing. A Doohicky Award! Yeeehaaaaaya!

Rick Schies - Piano strings? Net says:-->> Could have been if they were lumpy... Nice try - wrong!

Brandie Moody - Dragon scale! Net says:-->> You get tonights "Way Out Award!" Wow... Wish I had really captured Dragons scales. LOL.

Deb - Zipper zipping ! Net says:-->> Isn't that in the song or something "six zippers zipping, fIIIIIVVVVe Gold rIIIINgs, four...." Er. P'raps not. I am not very good at songs. LOL...

Paula Brumbe - metal in motion, yea, that's the ticket. Net says:-->> Not quite nothing. Ya nearly had it there. So you get tonights "An inch is as good as a mile Award!" Yeeha!!! [Little cheer. Tee hee...]

MaryBeth Dailey - electric razor... (I am not being "accurate" or detailed today...sorry! I did at least say " electric" razor...). Yea, but it was so far from the even the concept that it gets a A Doohicky Award! Yeeeeaaaaaaghh! LOL.

Howard N - No waffling this evening. I haven't a clue, but I will take a stab at it. Is it something that Lady GaGa is wearing and this is but a cropped image? Net says:-->> Love this answer Howard... LOL. You get tonights "Cropped Fashion Award!" Yahoooooo! LOL. Nice one.
Worth a try!!! Net says:-->> Certainly was... A very coveted award this one. I have only ever awarded it tonight. ROFL>

Vicki K - Wire tooth comb of some sorts. A Doohicky Award! YaYaYahaaaaarrrgh!

Alta D© - metal slinky? Net says:-->> Sadly nothing like one. LOL!!!

Nancy Holte - You've totally lost me on this one. I think @sarasdadandmom might be close though personally, I've never heard of a zipper specifically referred to as a corduroy zipper. And personally, I like the answer @altadc gave, just because I'm pretty sure it's wrong but totally something I would guess. Net says:-->> So you are completely wrong then... I think I got the trick of that! LOL.

Vicki Durkin - Wow, I can't figure it out but if you stare at it long enough it takes on an x-ray quality. Net says:-->> A Doohicky Award! yAH!!

Peter Auliciems - so clever - lounge fabric? Net says:-->> Unique call.... A Doohicky Award! Yaheeeeaaa!!!

Shirley Chetwynd - electric shaver in motion Net says:-->> Wow... Did not see that one. A Doohicky Award! yeaha [muted]... LOL

Tashy - Twanged guitar strings? Net says:-->> Might have been, but no. Sorry, too painful accross the pointy neather regions... ROFL>!!!

Sue Wilde - Is this, perchance, the world's cleanest carpet sweeper? Net says:-->> Perchance? Nope! But A Doohicky Award! HaaaaaYeee!!!!

genevieve - sleeping bag zipper? Net says:-->> Wow, shortest sleeping bag in the world. But, A Doohicky Award! Yahooeee!!!

Natacha Murphy - the only thing i can think of, but i'm pretty sure i'm wrong, is a comb? Net says:-->> A quicky Doohicky Award! Ya... LOL.

FaerieMoon - An alien space ship...landing. Net says:-->> I don't think I would ever see that one coming. Wow. Not sure how you got that at all. Each to his own! So you get tonights "Twisted Reality Award"!!! Yaaahoooo - I think! ROFL...

Julie Ryan - inside an instrument, piano? Net says:-->> How bent are the wires in your piano? ROFL...

I had lots of laughs tonight. Great fun - thanks. I hope you had fun too.

See you tomorrow.
Enjoy!

A fitting it may be, but certainly rusted, as is the screw type fastener upper left. I can not make out the glyphs beneath the screw head, probably Egyptian. I'd guess part of a lock assembly to a recently discovered tomb.

Now I'm officially sad. My first thought when I saw yesterday's photo was a gold necklace but then when I enlarged it I lost the "vision." Detective rule #1. Your first instinct might be the right one. As for today's photo, I'm thinking a shot putt (or is that put) stuck in foam. I know it's wrong, but hey, that's what I see and I'm kind of tired.

I'm getting it right today. It's a particularly delightful piece of abstract art. Anyone care to argue with me?

Something mouldy I think!

spray foam insulation that has mildew on it, the kind you put around windows, doors, that sort of stuff, and then take a razor blade and cut off all the excess.
July 15th, 2011
Is it a rusty pair of scissors?
July 15th, 2011
something you pulled out of the waaayyy back of your refrigerator that nobody wanted to eat so you thought you could just shut the door on it?
July 15th, 2011
looks like some kind of old plating screwed to an even older wall?
July 15th, 2011
Just found this.......:-) One of those buttons that pushes in, on a door, then the door closes and it pops into the hole? keeps the door closed.
July 15th, 2011
lock on a window.
July 15th, 2011
No idea, looks like an old gross screw and a cap beside it.
July 15th, 2011
