Identify This No. 103

Todays picture is of vintage origin. What is it?

Previously, in ID This No. 101...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Of course, nearly everyone got what these are. They are the same "blind rivets" or "pop rivets" that did the job in Identify This No. 92. An easy peasy one then!
Well done all you clever observers out there. The trained eye wins again!
Honorable mentions...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Brad Johnson - Burnt-out light sabers. Net says:-->> ROFL - Loved the idea of this one. Excellent. You get a special award - A "Star Wars Doohicky Weapon Award!" LOL...

Paula Brumbe - evil attachments from IKEA, the original box store. Net says:-->> LOL. Net says:-->> Oooops! No, but a Doohicky Award! Yaahy!

Kathy A Pop rivets as seen in situ in Identify This No 92. Net says:-->> YEEEEEEHa! Correct... on the nose!

Amanda F. A pile of dull, blunt swords! lol Rivets. Net says:-->> Love the swords idea. Nice one. a "Doohicky Award!" Yahoooooeee!

Crazy Girl - When I was a kid we used these as swords for our lego guys. They fit perfectly in their hands. Net says:-->> Hey! Cool idea. a "Doohicky Award!" Yahooooo!

Paula Cook-Farkas - Very large corn on the cob holders. You poke them into the sides of the ears of corn and your fingers don't get messy from the butter. Net says:-->> Sadly not! But I love the idea of that. LOL. Great fun. Nice one. a "Doohicky Award!" Yahoooooo!

lorihiro - My guess for today--these are a fairly common and cheap item you can find at any hardware store. They are used in one (or more) of the four sides that hold up a roof. Am I close? Net says:-->> Possibly, although they are a bit small to hold up a roof. Good effort though. These are about two inches long each.

Sue Wilde - Things for putting a pair of in the ground to support a cross bar for very short AFL players...or pop rivets. Net says:-->> LOL> Net says:-->> Oooops! The former no, but a Doohicky Award! Yaahy! The latter... Correct! Yeeeeeha!

Natacha Murphy - great shot! Net says:-->> Thanks very much... Preen, preen. LOL.

Howard N - POP rivets. I have a bunc in a coffee can in the basement and while we were without power (for six long days) I took to counting them, over and over, in the dark. Couldn't find the tool however and was wondering, why keep the rivets... I was going mad! Net says:-->> Ah! So no change then! LOL - Odd things you put in a coffee tin Howard! LOL.

Vanessa Walters - I love the perspective and angle and lighting but I have no clue as to what they are. Net says:-->> No, its alright. I know what they are now... they are pop rivets! LOL

Great laughs tonight, thanks for dropping by.

Fire hoses or retic pipes

Fire hoses they be. The engine is probably a pumper and these hoses are rather short, as they bring the water from the hydrant to the pumps to boost pressure giving the firefighters on the far end of the line the ability to quell the blaze. Or maybe they are just the back end of four nozzles.

I'm going to guess fire hoses, and for the record, I guessed that before I looked at anyone else's answer. Of course, that still doesn't make me right. :)

I was going to go with hose clamps, but now I feel obligated to push myself just a bit farther and say that they used for steam pipe fitting so as the steam keeps in the pipes and not spill out providing an excellent facial of steam for me.

Everyone is completely wrong here! These are obviously the pipes that Luigi and Mario enter to save the princess from the dragon!
