Identify This No. 155

An object or objects associated with some relaxation I think. What do we have here then?

Previously, in ID This No. 153...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Difficult to hide that characteristic shape. Yes, a big fat felt tipped pen for marking up parcels or the like. This one is in fact a permanent marker. But it could have been a board marker or any other sort of marker. zzz...zzz... goodness that was boring!
Honourable mentions...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jennifer C - sorry to hear of the illness in your family, hope all is OK soon. Net says:-->> A difficult situation, but improving. Thanks very much your thoughts are appreciated.

Jennifer C - This has to be a permanent marker I think. Net says:-->> Correctomundo!!! Excellent. Yeahasssa!!!!

Kathy A - A marker pen which may be permanent or not. Net says:-->> A ha! An astute observation Dr. Watson. A doohicky award for you!!! Yeehaa!

Alison Bailey - I think maybe it's one of those wipe off markers for a white board. Net says:-->> Ah, a good guess. An acceptable answer. It could have been one. A doohicky award! Yeehaaa!

Howard N - Looks to be a white board marker. I love how you positioned your subject to take advantage of the negative space. And, your use of the light makes this image to die for. You have made a very powerful statement here and I hope you receive the recognition it truely deserves. Net says:-->> Somehow I feel you are being over the top here. It a boring old marker! Somehow I don't think it is going to get the accolade you envisage. It was so boring I fell asleep photographing it and as my head hit the table it banged off my camera and the shutter released. When I woke up this was the result. Truly a pen to forget! LOL. OK you get a Doohicky award for total over-the-topness! LOL> Yeehaaa!

Sue Wilde - Marker pen, maybe for my white board or maybe a permanent one for writing addresses on really big boxes when I post them. Net says:-->> Yes! Correctomundo. Yeeehaa!

Shirley Chetwynd - yep black marker. Net says:-->> Yup! Yeehassssa!!

Paula Cook-Farkas - Mark my words...no, that's it...mark my words! Net says:-->> LOL A Doohicky award for the punny approach to such a boring picture. Quite woke me up you did!

Paula Brumbe - A pen to mark Paula's words that is thick in nature, with a black fuzzy tip that allows the ink to mark her words. Net says:-->> Yes!!! Do you have one in the pocket on your left chestal region? LOL.

Paula Cook-Farkas - @brumbe With a permanency and quickness, or thickness! ;) Net says:-->> Well in my case thickness and quickness. Always a cause for complaint with the ladies!

Rick Schies - So sorry to hear about the family illness, thoughts and prayers your way. Hope all is better soon. Net says:-->> Thanks Rick, your thoughts are appreciated. Things are improving.

Dione Giorgio - Sorry to hear about the family illness from me too. Will remember you and your family in my prayers. Net says:-->> Much appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks for your visit and all your comments I enjoy them all. Hope to see ya soon!

These are little Asian Parasols which the very fancy Asian airlines put in their very fancy first class drinks. People take them home with them to show the kids. A fond remembrance of an intoxicating adventure!

Yes, cocktail umbrellas.... and a trip down memory lane for me. I used to see them very occasionally (but never for sale) when I was little and longed for one of my own.

Net, back to the marker. I actually do wear a sharpie at work on the edge of my shirt collar (with the plastic clip holder) on the left side, so yes, it does conflict with my chestal area somedays.
