I'm sat watching the sun go down silly lady. I'm not going to fly untill you stop pointing your camera at me.

Get pushed capture birds in flight. Tried again last night. Again the birds liked this spot to sit. I was stood on a garden chair to get better view of the setting sun too. When suddenly realised my neighbour had opened the attic window and was watching me... Prehaps not a good look, stood on chair, near to their wall with camera in hand pointed at their house.... And all for a bird that didn't fly. Well he did of course, just as I gave up.... The saga will continue but I may try another spot rather than our garden.
I've scared birds into flight by approaching them before, with camera aimed. Love your fun title and such a pretty time of day!

@amandal Fear this will be tough challenge. Only have a 42mm zoom, lack of patience, should I discover patience from somewhere I have a 2 year old with me all week who really will not get the necessary behaviour required to capture birds in flight....

Sorry you're not catching birds in flight. You are, however, catching some LOVELY scenes. I, for one, am enjoying them!

Lovely light on those windows and funny story!! What we do for 365!! Just thinking is there a lake/park nearby where there are ducks and probably seagulls. Get your daughter to run towards them and they will all take off giving you a great opportunity for a flight shot. Just remember have the camera set ready - a high ISO might help also. Perhaps take some bread with you and get your daughter to throw it into the air - you will soon get seagulls swooping by. Good luck.

Couldn't you just ... a bet as soon as your back was turned...!

Didn't get the bird, but the light in the windows is amazing. Lovely story, hehehe!

Gorgeous light!

Great light...you need to get someone to run along the rooftops flapping their arms to induce the birds into flight

Gorgeous shot anyway, love the light in the sky and reflected in the windows, and yes, the bird silhouette! Fav for me.

You really made me smile with the commentary on this photo, especially when I began to picture the action. You will get a reputation of being a peeping tom in your neighbourhood.
Nice shot though, I love the chimney pots and the reflection of the sun on the windows.

Oh, Ruth, what a funny commentary! I can just imagine that bird plotting to make your shot impossible!
