This has a strange effect on me! My eyes go straight for the window yet they are then blocked! I know it's a window, yet it isn't! With windows we want to get a glimpse of something inside and this is forbidden here. Isn't that weird? (Or is it me that's weird?) Anyway, I like it. Again might try cropping to a square format to include just the window and the vent (for the shape repetition)
Goodness, that is spooky, the house in the next street has a house just like this with a boarded up window with the same kind of textured wood. If I didn't know you were over the other side of the world I would think you were round the corner! I like this a lot, the contrasting texture of brick and wood and the black and white is lovely.
cool shot love the shapes and textures, I tend to agree with David or @yrhenwr ,if you use Lightroom have you tried using the lens correction tool? It would work wonderfully here.
