Another from our farm trip. My boys. Yesterday was one of those days I imagined before having the boys. One of those days spent with a good friend, who has kids of the same age as your own kids, one of those days where you spend the day together chatting, the kids playing together happily, life being just perfect. It was. Life was wonderful yesterday. It was a simple yet delightful and perfect day. But one I am so lucky to have. Our journey to having our boys, was tough, long, heart breaking, full of loss, far from perfect. On days like yesterday I catch myself and just soak it up. I imagined them long before they happened and long before I imagined they may never happen. This may be far from a perfect photograph but I will treasure it as a reminder of one of those perfect days with my boys.
Your comments above could have been written by my DIL......such a hard struggle to have her two boys...so precious ...lovely to see you enjoying every minute!
A beautiful capture and very moving words to accompany it. Thank you for sharing your perfect day with us - how wonderful when your dreams do come true!! Huge Fav!! By the way he just looks soooo cute!!
Darling capture. Our children are to be treasured. I only was able to have one child and he & I almost died during his birth. He is grown now, but he is still my precious child.
Oh yes, I remember these days! I took my youngest daughter and her three children to Easton Farm Park in Suffolk and they seemed to spend the day on the toy tractors!
Oh, a heartwarming story of life. So good to have a reminder of how you felt on a particular day as I find photos have a way of bringing back not just memories but feelings too.
This motherhood gig is the best thing ever. I am so glad you got your boys -- and how wonderful for them that their mom knows what a treasure they are (sometimes fatigue wears us thin). I love this shot. Great action & vibrant colors. One of those shots that has the power to take you back to that perfect moment for years to come. So happy for you.
A beautiful shot with a story behind it both painful and ultimately very happy. Some poet said that "in short measures, life may perfect be"--sounds as if you had one of those perfect times. I wish all children could be as loved and cherished and valued as your boys are.
