Just me and Hubby no kids. A walk and lunch. Lovely. Shame he'll be back to work next Thursday. No excuses then to not do the many jobs that need doing...
Much as we love our kids it's always good to have a little time without them. My first teaching post was in Walsall and I can remember the 'cut' well. This is a great capture of the waterway and the cooling towers in the background
@gigiflower A repair shed for canal boats. @overalvandaan They are the power station v near us. They dominate the countryside all around us but in our village they cant be seen from our house but whatever direction we come home we can see them so for me strangely they mean home.
@yrhenwr Both hubby and I commented that it was a less interesting view on the walk back...perhaps we are just used to it now. I am strangely drawn to it.
NIce - surprisingly, no matter how much we love our kids, a few hours away from them is so refreshing. Ours are all grown up now, but I know where you are coming from!
@ceilidh I'm dreading Thursday's soon, will drop them both off at school at 9 then neither will be home till 6 after their night for tea with grandparents. Will be long quiet day! I used to go help in Sammys class in the afternoons but now going to help in reception straight after drop off. Sure I'll get used to it. Will seem like a shock to start though!
