I shed a tear. 4th year of doing the pre-school and school first day drop off. First year I have cried. An era has ended. After 5 and a half years I don't have a kiddie at home with me full time.
Sounds like you had a bit of a tough day!!! Imagine the stories they will have every day when they get home from school...........it's an exciting time for all!
A special one for the family album which I am sure you will treasure, Ruth. It's lovely. Thanks for sharing. You give them so much but they have to grow away from you. Watching them develop and become ever more independent can be so gratifying but it certainly has its heart-breaking moments.
Lovely Portrait capture and you have my sympathy, but for me that feel was many, many years ago. Now start enjoying the freedom but look forward to they come home in the evening.
Lovely shot of the boys (and Sam). It doesn't seem five minutes since I was in the same position as you; in a couple of weeks my youngest will be going away to uni and my eldest will be in the US and the house is going to seem very quiet!
A very odd feeling & so quiet in your house today.....I bet you were thinking of them every minute! Never mind you will get used to it, they will love school & you can have a bit of time for yourself. Fireman Sam went to school too? I expect they had lots to tell you when they got home!
Darling photo. It is always so hard when the youngest one goes off to school. It is rough on you, but I know your children are happy to be off to school.
My what a change in your life! I'm sure this is going to be a hard transition for you, but wonder what you are thinking you'll do now with the time that you now have?
