Back to school

I shed a tear. 4th year of doing the pre-school and school first day drop off. First year I have cried. An era has ended. After 5 and a half years I don't have a kiddie at home with me full time.
Lovely photo :)

All these beautiful steps we take, child and parent! Such a sweet photo, I like that Fireman Sam is included :-)

Sam
Sounds like you had a bit of a tough day!!! Imagine the stories they will have every day when they get home from school...........it's an exciting time for all!

I wish them safe on their travel! What a day this is for them and for you!

Lovely capture, remember that day though many moons ago now :)

A special one for the family album which I am sure you will treasure, Ruth. It's lovely. Thanks for sharing. You give them so much but they have to grow away from you. Watching them develop and become ever more independent can be so gratifying but it certainly has its heart-breaking moments.

Hugs to you. Preschool is a short day. Enjoy your little break, mama.

They grow up so fast, I can't believe my eldest started high school this year. But think of the time you will have for taking pictures :-)

Lovely Portrait capture and you have my sympathy, but for me that feel was many, many years ago. Now start enjoying the freedom but look forward to they come home in the evening.

Aww! I'm sire that they will be back to fill the house with noise very soon.

Well it's certainly the end of an era. Love the way those two are clutching each other's hands.

Empty nest syndrome is awful, but you might just get to appreciate it! Thinking of you.

Lovely shot of the boys (and Sam). It doesn't seem five minutes since I was in the same position as you; in a couple of weeks my youngest will be going away to uni and my eldest will be in the US and the house is going to seem very quiet!

A very odd feeling & so quiet in your house today.....I bet you were thinking of them every minute! Never mind you will get used to it, they will love school & you can have a bit of time for yourself. Fireman Sam went to school too? I expect they had lots to tell you when they got home!

Super cute shot. I remember feeling a bit empty when my two little ones started school. That seems like yesterday but they are 22 and 23 now!
September 4th, 2014
they do look happy about it though
September 5th, 2014
Very sweet to catch them holding hands! Hope your day went well - that first day can be tougher on Mom than the kiddos!
September 5th, 2014
Darling photo. It is always so hard when the youngest one goes off to school. It is rough on you, but I know your children are happy to be off to school.

My what a change in your life! I'm sure this is going to be a hard transition for you, but wonder what you are thinking you'll do now with the time that you now have?

Sweet photo.

what a lovely moment.
September 5th, 2014
Love how they are holding hands.
September 5th, 2014
great shot, it wont be long before you are waving them off to university, make the most of every minute and of course the time you have without them !
September 5th, 2014
Your boys have the sweetest faces. Don`t blame you for crying, but they are doing what children do. Part of them will always be with you. Fav for me.
