View through the window as I put clothes away whilst both kids out, think that will have to do for 365 today, get camera, post, return to putting washing away...
@gigiflower I have approx 43 mins and 23 secs before the second of three school runs today. Not enough time for my housework let alone yours. I then have a dinner date and have promised to build towers out of bricks......
Ah, the joys of motherhood! Wouldn't trade it for anything! One day, all that laundry will be gone. (says the grandma-to-be whose babe is a senior in high school this year) (sniff!) Wonderful, spacious backyard.
@bill_fe@gigiflower@susale@newbank I hadn't wanted to say anything, but now that it's 6.31am and I'm officially grumpy and tired thanks to a yahooing, swearing, cursing and excessively loud and aggressive "person" outside our house just after midnight I can honestly say that I think someone needs to prioritise their time ;)
@bill_fe Today I have done three school runs of 45 minutes each by foot. I am on the second load of washing. I have made tea for and feed three male humans. Read a lot of stories. Built towers out of bricks. Cleaned a bathroom. Changed a bed after child been sick on it. Bathed two children. Filled in 2 direct debit forms. Ironed some school uniform. I may have been able to have achieved even more in the time I spent writing my title that is very true but I am at times very lazy....
@newbank LOL, I'm just quietly pleased that mine is old enough to look after herself...and she doesn't want anything to do with me anyway. I'm seriously uncool!
@newbank Aw, Ms Newbank, you do have your hands full. I was a single parent. I know what your're going through. My boys are grown, and I've got two grand kids now. I was just trying to coax a smile from you.
@graemestevens@bill_fe Oh you guys are funny, thank you for the entertainment :D And @newbank my Goddness you are so active, I don´t get the half of that done -during the whole week :D
@graemestevens@bill_fe@newbank 2 questions to be asked.......1 for Ms - what sort of area do you live in? And 1 for Ms Newbank - why do you do 3 school runs when you only have 2 children?
@gigiflower live in a village of about 1700 people 10 mins away from a medium sized city.... I drop eldest at school 8.55 youngest at preschool 9am, go home, collect youngest 12, go home, collect eldest 3.30pm. Walk to the school village is 20 minutes each way at a 2 yr old walking speed. Only do this the two mornings youngest at preschool.
@gigiflower I try not to. Nearest can park is a 5 minute walk away as lots of people bring kids to school from outside the village so parking by school is v limited. On Monday and Tuesday morning we do go in car as go straight to activities outside village with youngest. It takes us as long to get there as by time got two kids into car and strapped in and up strapped at other end takes as much time. And I'm v old fashioned and a firm believer in making them walk!!!
@gigiflower put a coat on, scarf, hat and gloves and wellies and walk......just leave an extra few mins to walk. No way would drive the road we park on for school is an ice rink in the snow and dreadful to drive on great grandma lives down it, it's v sheltered and snow takes a week longer to melt!
@newbank You go from your house to your car. Both air conditioned. They you go to the beach, a river, a swimming pool. Then you get back in your air conditioned car, then back into your air conditioned house! See, it works :)
Your days sound very familiar, although as my kids are now a little bigger I do try and get them to help with the washing, doesn't exactly speed up the process though......Anyway, love this shot, love the space and the layers at the bottom
@gigiflower but what about those beautiful crisp sunshine filled mornings where the fresh air smells so divine, the breeze from the wind on your skin is just the right mix of refreshment and invigorating? Fresh beautiful air not conditioned air?
@newbank Oh yes they are here too!!! We actually only turn on our air conditioning about 10 days per year........we actually don't like it, prefer living "in the moment" :)
@gigiflower I'm fine with weather where I can put more clothes on. Weather where I can take more off is bad. About 25 is my upper limit with clothes on.
@taffy That's very kind Taffy. At times I feel I am improving, other times feel so amateurish. Not that it matters, I love it, love it, love it. That's all that matters.
@newbank love the layers
Anyone else think @newbank Ms Newbank could have accomplished more if she didn't spend so much time on her title?
