Littlest playing yesterday in the garden (wasteland). And can anyone help me please....despite now editing with LR 6 rather than photoshop cs2 my images look worse when uploaded to here from LR. Im guessing it must be to do with file sizes, anyone who uses LR can you advise what size you save to for best uploading to here?
The file size shouldn't really make any difference, the compression used on this website would always adjust the file size to match the webpage/browser limits.
What you are probably noticing, is what I often experience, is the fact Lightroom works ever so differently to Photoshop.
Only subtle, but just little differences you may notice if you use the programs regularly.
I noticed you said CS2 is the Photoshop program you use, well in that case, there have been alot of upgrades since that came out, especially compared to LR6.
CS2 came out back in in 2006/2007, so alot of the Algorithms, will have been improved upon. LR 6 is using the most advanced programming, developed by improved technology, so it will always extract more detail from the RAW and JPEG files:)
For example my current size I use to give clients their wedding photos, that are Internet friendly is this; 2500 x 1664 pixels and 610 dpi, that usually equates to 2mb size:)
Hope that helps you. Good luck with LR6. Stay with it, as its an incredible piece of software:)
I'm the same Ruth my LR is a free down, lad & it must be ages old....my photos never look as I want them after editing into what I think is a perfect shot. Great angle of those little hardworking legs!
This is a fabulous shot! Love your comp and it works great in b&w!
I use lightroom and I export with 1024 pixels on the long edge. That is the size they were compressed to when I started here on 365 over 2 years ago.
My shots are exported at 1024 pixels on the long edge, or about 1MB. I can't think of why it looks different in LR than it does on your upload. love the pov on this shot!
