Bowling

Took kiddies bowling yesterday.
Love it. Nice technique.
I will be a bit limited in commenting on your photos until I am up and running again. Only able to type with one finger at the moment following a wrist fracture and it is slow going.

Oh yes, Ruth, this is so good. Unusually you have placed him centre frame.. and it works really well. Bowling shots are often crowded with people but you have made it seem that he has the place to himself. Perfect exposure and processing. Fav

@yrhenwr because at this point we did!! We were in town for it opening. I'm not a fan, trying to use my 14mm wide angle lens (only one with a low enough aperture to be any use indoors) but I just don't get on with it. I think I'm going to trade it in for a 25mm 1.4 lens.

Lovely shot. Kids always beat their parents at sport though at 68 I can still outsprint my 41 year old daughter over SHORT distances. I love the smile you can just seeonhis face

I love how the background colours echo the stripes of his shirt.

@yrhenwr Lucky you! 25mm is a useful focal length on a Lumix, It gives a 'natural' perspective, but you lose the distinctiveness you can get with a wide angle lens. I have a 20mm Lumix lens which is permanently on my G5 (and previously G1). I seldom use the 14-45.
