@taffy@jgpittenger@888rachel@golftragic@pamknolwer Hello All. Sorry not been in touch via email. Busy weekend here. I've downloaded Topaz Textures. Pam did you buy it or have as a trial? Here is my first very quick go. Not a clue as to what I'm doing!!!!
@kategoring Yes.....hmmm....he was actually stuck. His wellies needed a good pulling out!! Felt bit guilty after I'd been photographing him and he'd been saying he was stuck!
I think it looks great! I like that you've used it subtly so we still have a clear sense of your son at play in the mud. The soft tones work really well. I hadn't a clue when I started -- but it ends up being fairly intuitive once you figure out where the various adjustments are. The big discovery for me was the circle in the center of the texture that gets you to the individual adjustments. Have fun!
@taffy Looking forward to a bigger play tomorrow. How do you use LR and Topaz together? Edit in one then the other? Just use one? Which would you default to first?
Beautiful shot. I expect you got him out in the end ;) Everyone has to suffer for our art, after all. I feel I should not read any more about Topaz Textures before I get the urge to HAVE it - but I no doubt will ...
Wonderfully typical kid in mud. Sorry to hear he was stuck though, must've been fun getting him out! I like the way you've used textures to soften the background and focus attention on your son, that works very well. As to how to combine LR and TTE (or any other plugin) is to right-click on Edit In. On the pull-down menu which appears there will be a list of options to choose from (assuming you've loaded them as external editors). Select TTE and click on it. A dialogue box will appear asking if you want that image to be edited with the LR adjustments you've already made. Click on the button and TTE will open with the selected image and off you go. Just click Save when you're done.
Hope his lip heals quickly.
