Still not sure I am even speaking to you! Eskdale?! My cherubs went to playgroup there. So close!! Reception class is just another much needed step into their world of discovery - both socially and academically. A sense of loss for us parents but positivity all round x
@motherjane oh fiddlesticks! Truth be told I nearly did say we were there whilst we were there..... but for some reason that you were the other end.... oh boo and hiss....
@motherjane If you ever want a 7 year old again mine has lost his heart to where you live! He had the first ever holiday blues and would go back in a flash!
@newbank Anytime! I hope you experienced L'al Ratty and Muncaster at least. Wastwater is eerily beautiful. Rowed across it in an unstable dingy once .... not good.
@motherjane we went to beach seascale beach for 2 days, wastwater 2 days, 1 day did the ravenglass -eskdale railway... the house we stayed at had a rafting lake and big garden the kiddies loved. Very beautiful part of the country!
@newbank Jane was so shocked that you had been and not said that I received a message in the middle of a wedding reception.(Not that I minded that.) But really - just down the road. You would have driven past my front door. Did you go to the Drigg sandunes ont the way to Seascale as they are fab - but so is Mawsons ice-cream at Seascale. You will definitely have to let Jane know when you come again as it would lovely to meet you and the boys. Loads to see and do for youngsters in this quieter side of the lakes.
