Underneath the flash

Oh no.... another walk at lunchtime another purchase in the camera store. Thanks everyone for your advice yesterday. The Speedlite 430 ex ii it is!

Today's word for Feb was crying out for this shot as far as I was concerned.

Off now to flash at things (as they say!)

Well done! It's a fab flashgun but make sure that you read the manual thoroughly - there is so much that you can do with this little beauty.

@steampowered thanks - yes have just got that out to read.......am very excited! Between you and me, I bought the cable connector thingy too.....so I don't have to have it on top of the camera....(bloomin' heavy all in one piece isn't it) am overwhelmed by possibilities!

Well, what a great birthday present (my birthday)!!! A really good flash unit and you'll really notice the difference to the built in flash... have a look at Stofen diffusers on Amazon as well...
