Happy feet

Back to school for Little Dottie tomorrow. They have a strict uniform policy and a choice between two pairs of shoes!

These are a pretty ones. Sensible I grant you, but not really shoes for "young ladies" are they?! Although Little D was as pleased as punch with them because they are her first pair of "big girls shoes" until now she's been in the velcro strap ones.

Still I give it less than 24 hours before they are scuffed and polish-less looking as though she's played football all season!

Happy Summer School Days....I love the summer term, dresses instead of shirts and tunics, short socks instead of grey woolly tights, sports days and prize giving......bring it on!!
Boo
these need and I mean NEED little people!

Haha, yes, 24 hours max! Great shot! You should contact the shoe company and sell it to them. ;-)

Boo

April 16th, 2013
Ha ha, I was going to ask the same question as Boo! Do you have a lightbox thingymejig?
April 16th, 2013
@danitech @huvesaker yes I do have a lightbox thingy, but it only works for some shots - this one is a roll of kiddies drawing paper from

Brilliant - it works so well, looks really professional.

Any excuse to go to Ikea!! I used a blue Ikea tray for my last flower shot!!

Reminds me if Tuff shoes the school standard issue and the feeling of dread the day before and that was when I was teaching ! Fabulous image it's not just the paper it the lighting :perfect !

Wonderful! I think uniform is an excellent idea even if the shoes seem a little un-feminine. Takes me back to my schooldays. As @paul2782 said, it was Tuff shoes and Clarkes sandals in the summer.

She will be so proud to wear those. Really nice picture of them for her scrapbook.

Lovely shot, a moment to treasure, they grow up so quickly.
April 16th, 2013
Oh dear, I'm old, I'm thinking - they look comfortable!
April 16th, 2013
Great image, don't they look masculine for little girls feet!
It's so exciting when they get into the big girls sizes!
I love the seriousness of the shoe shot!

Ah bless, I remember when we got Izzi her first set of lace up school shoes ... memories :)
April 17th, 2013
oh noes
You know though, if all the kids are wearing them maybe they will be ok. I would have been horrified. I think I spent the first 12 years of my life in pink chuck taylors though so other than the color, not all that girly.
April 18th, 2013
@aponi yes I know what you mean, luckily the policy is so strict that they do actually all wear them, so it's okay. Not sure that any of the *like* them though!

Umm; I have a pair of shoes just like these. Seriously. Now I am worried, more for me than for little Dottie.
