Well.....still feeling far from having nailed the "moon shot" but I do actually quite like this one. (note clever use of negative space to mask the fact that I the detail on the moon isn't sharp enough to crop any closer!)
Still it was taken on 25th April, just rather late uploading!
This is great - do you see the shadow on the top left of the moon? Apparently there was a really small partial eclipse on the 25th. I missed it but you seem to have captured it - brilliant!
@emmadurnford there was some wispy cloud about and I thought it might have been that (or more likely my finger over the lens!!) I have had a torrid time with moon shots, and between you and me I'm a bit grumpy about not having nailed crater detail!!
I know what you mean (although yours is good). I thought I had done quite well until I saw @danitech image for the 18th of April - amazing detail and on a small camera!!
@emmadurnford yes I know - frankly that photo is almost enough to make me give up!!! ;0) ....but I'm very stubborn and am determined to get one eventually!! @danitech
I was wondering how you were getting on with it. Definitely works best from a high vantage point - not as easy to find as we may think! Make sure you tag me so I don't miss it!
