Today's word was a tricky one for me. I am not a religious person in the sense of a regular church goer, and I struggle with some aspects of the church. Although you can't beat a good hymn sing every now and then!
9am on Sunday mornings at the moment see me taking Little Dottie to her golf lesson, and inspired by this I have picked up my clubs again after 12 years. Am loving it!
This morning I opted for a coffee in the bar during her lesson, since I had my own lesson booked for later in the day. There was a group of chaps in the bar having a full English Breakfast and a noisy and fun exchange of banter before setting out on their round of golf.
My lesson today was at 4pm and there in the club house was the same group of chaps each with a beer and a tale of the chip shot he nearly made, the put he nearly sank and the drive that went for miles!
These chaps are there every Sunday, and from what I gather for most of Saturday too.... for them I guess it's a kind of religion!
Nice shot! I can't even remember what I have in my bag, I haven't played for a few years. I know I replaced my 3 iron with a hybrid. I'm glad you are enjoying getting back into the game!
This is such a great shot, Nicola. I got quite inspired when I went to do that photoshoot at the golf course recently... and now hearing you talk about sundays on the golf course - sounds like such a great way to spend the day. How's little Dottie getting on? Does she enjoy the lessons? And are you getting back 'into the swing' of things yet?
