Camelia B&W by nicolaeastwood

Camelia B&W

I took this at the weekend, and while the colours were nice, for some reason it says more to me in B&W.

This is Black and White Wednesday!

Even better when viewed large. This works well in B&W, what a good idea of Wednesday B&W. Think I'll have a go next week.

Nicola - I love this photo in black and white and have really enjoyed going through your albums. You have a fun sense of humor -- I really liked the Kentucky Derby photo!

I am your push partner for this week. I saw that you'd done the reflection in drops of water (on my list to try), so I thought you might enjoy trying out another technique - photographing smoke. I've included a link to one of the many tutorials I found online for photographing smoke. I've only tried it once and it was fun! I hope you have fun with it too.

@ridley Thanks so much for your lovely comments Michelle and an exciting (if a bit daunting!) challenge, I've been away this weekend, just back so will catch up on your album now and try to mastermind a challenge in return! :0)

Nicola, I hope you'll have fun with it. I got a cord so I could use my flash off camera and I found it easier than using a stand alone light (tried both!). but google some of the tutorials online -- once you get it set up, its just about focusing on the right spot!
