I was attending a seminar at The Ritz today (the joy with which I greeted my Ritz pen, notepad and packet of mints possibly gave away the fact that I don't take tea there regularly!) Oh it is lovely!
Took a few not very good rather touristy snaps, which turned out not to be that great and wandered through Green Park, looking for today's shot. A Buckingham Palace Garden Party had just kicked out and everyone walking way was super smart, top hats and lovely dresses very much in evidence.
I heard marching and zoomed across the road to see these chaps leaving Buckingham Palace and marching down Constitution Hill. I liked the Bobby on the left and the chap in the top hat on the right.
@paul2782 oh don't worry, seminar finished - I stayed awake throughout, and in fact it was one of the best talks I've heard for a long time.....Global Risk in Financial Markets.....whoopie dooo!
Hahaha......watched most of that in the office today, he is dull, best bit (regardless of your political persuasion) was when Ed Balls said something like "the PM calls him George, the President calls him Jeffrey but to the rest of us he's just Bungle!" :0)
I loved reading your little narrative. I would've sat there next to you, just as excited with my little goodies... lol. This is a lovely photo! Hope the seminar wasn't too boring. :D
I want to do a tea dance there
