It is World Prematurity Day today and in celebration here is Little D. Anyone that has followed my project may know that she was born nearly nine years ago, and fifteen weeks early.
She is a testament to the amazing medical staff and equipment, and her own sheer dogged determination to hang on in there. I wouldn't mind, but we have to battle that determination now when it is homework time!
Talking of doggies, her favourite and most beloved little toy sneaks in bottom right, he's seen better days, and smells dreadful(!) but we all love him!
What a miracle child she is! 15 weeks??? Amazing. this is such a lovely portrait, and that little toy made me giggle! Isn't it sweet how attached we can be to things. :)
@gailmmeek Gail, he went missing once for five days, I was in a terrible state, he was with her in her incubator in hospital from the very beginning, he's very special. I...err....found him under a box that I had put away......how bad did I feel?
Hi Nicola -- I'm your get pushed partner this week and have been enjoying viewing your album. You've have a range of images and seem to have tried a number of different types of approaches. For your challenge, I'd like you to focus on texture with an image that features three distinct textures that together contribute to the picture. If this doesn't sound interesting (or if you've already done this), let me know and I'll suggest Plan B.
