….yes yes yes I know there is only one here and that he’s got a cotton bud hanging out of his hat. These are the Wise Men of the Mexico Pavilion in Disney World and the other two Wise Men had kids in Goofy hats in the background so some serious cropping was needed!
Today’s word was Poinsettia, and this little tableau of the Three Wise men told the story of how the poinsettia got it’s red flowers. Mexican legend has it that a poor boy had nothing else to give the baby Jesus so gathered together some green branches, and when he arrived to give them….”behold” the leaves had turned red…..” So now you know.
@padlock No….. I didn't. I spent about an hour cradling the demo one in the duty free shop, (family and staff thought I was a nutter!) because I had decided to do it and then figured that there were more sensible times to do it. It was going to be bigger and heavier to carry around all holiday, I wanted something I knew my way around to capture those, oh so quick or you miss 'em moments, and I would spend the holiday being paranoid about dropping, bumping or damaging it! So I will upgrade…….it's just the when that I need to decide! End of the financial year is usually good for me financially so I might be able to get a lens too at that time. Watch this space!! :0)
