Haven't ever really got to grips with Low Key shots, not sure of the difference between "low key" and "too dark!" Perhaps it's the same as "high key" and "a bit over exposed!" ;0)
Cue my ex-communication from the photography world!
Still here are the little chaps from pass the pigs on my I-pad cover in the dark!
@padlock looking at the deal on the canon 5mark3 with 24-105 lens at Park cameras.... I'm tempted.....probably need to discover the damage on the tax return due 31/1 first, but....do you think it's a good deal?
@nicolaeastwood That is the lens that I use all the time. Love it. Looking at the deal they normally sell the lens for £800 plus, don't forget the other goodies you get as well. Th battery pack is about £225 so I think it looks pretty good to me. Yes there are other sites you could get the camera cheaper from but you never know where it is imported from.
Nice. I have always liked this definition from lightstalking "A low-key image is one that contains predominantly dark tones and colours. Like high-key images, they convey atmosphere and mood. But where a high-key image feels airy and light, a low-key is usually dramatic and full of mystery. And where high-key lighting over-lights the subject to reduce contrast, low-key lighting creates striking contrasts through reduced lighting. Shadows are now the primary element of the composition."
I have not played that for years.... Great shot and thanks for the memory.
