Mousehole, Cornwall by nicolaeastwood

Mousehole, Cornwall

Recently a very kind 365er generously gave me some filters that they no longer needed. I have never thought about, or used filters before, so can you imagine my excitement when I took a rather ordinary picture of this harbour and then put the polarising filter in place. WOW!

I can't tell you how many pictures I have of Mousehole Harbour looking so vibrant and beautiful! The impact on blues and greens and sky/boats on water is a joy to behold…..I am converted!

Thank you, thank you, thank you - you know who you are!! x
They certainly give a nice colour & finish.....I don't use filters but I like the look of this. Do yours screw on Nicola or do they slot in a frame screwed onto your camera? Round or glass square ones?

Round glass screw on, but as found out don't just screw on top of any glass protection filter that you might have already and then expect to take wide angle shots as you get a lovely picture of the edge of the filter in each of the corners!!

Fabulous - a real picture postcard shot. I've tried using a polarising filter but I'm not convinced it makes much difference. Obviously not as good as yours!

Lovely. Such a shame that I can't get a polarising filter for my toy camera.
