@dieter you are absolutely right... cropping can make a huge difference! i need to remember that more often... did you also deepen the colour somewhat? it looks much stronger in your link... tx so much!
@northy yes, I boosted the contrast and colour as well, perhaps a bit much even, but it was mainly the crop I wanted to show you. I got some great advice once to let your eyes wander around the edge of an image when you're framing or cropping. Apart from getting in closer, it's removing distracting details around the edge that really helps focus the viewer's attention where you want it to be :)
