Taken yesterday, so technically a filler... i redid the b&w today (for those who saw it on flickr yesterday) because i wasn't happy with parts of it... altho' now there are other parts i'm not happy with! arghh!
Thanks everyone for the lovely comments on the headless musicians - you can see their heads in the background of this picture :)
I'm a bit behind in commenting, but hope to have some time later this evening for catch up!
I now know what you mean by headless musicians having gone back to your previous photo which is so good! This guy looks world weary! or maybe he's thinking about the music!
I am liking the shot. Now, I was playing with a couple of my b&w shots and ended up with a similar green tint or tone to them. I am not sure how feel about those and noticed that you have something similar.
@trbo hi Travis... what software are you using to convert to b&w? i am using nik silver effex and there are a bunch of toning colours built in to choose from (or you can decide not to choose any)... i'm still kind of playing around with them but in general, i'm finding i like the flavour they can add... i generally choose greener tones (i noted this as selenium - but i actually think it might be the greener split tone) for street unless i feel the need for something warmer (sepia, coffee, amber) or if i'm going for a film noir look in which case i am more likely to pick a bluer tone... but it really depends on your personal taste, the feel you are going for, and what the colours say to you :)
Well, I am currently using my iPad to edit and post most of my shots. The annoying piece to that is that I lose detail and exif info, but for the most part it works pretty well with the apps I am using.
Tomorrow I am picking up LightRoom4 since we have been asked to do senior portraits for friends, so I am hoping there are some kickin options for my b&w streets in there.
Maybe he woke up and couldn't decide which one he was going to ride so he took both just in case he got a flat tyre. But seriously he is obviously deep in thought about something. Wonderful street shot.
@paulaag It's a piece of cake to use - just make sure to watch the tutorial video so you can make the most of it... (I think I need to watch again - I expect there are things I missed the first time around!)

are you still liking and using Nik for your B&W processing?
