This is from a couple days ago... it's another view of Old City Hall...
I had high hopes for something new today - despite the snow, however work got in the way, and by the time the work day was done, there was not enough light to do much...
This is for architecture week for the flash-o-red theme set by @olivetreeann - a month of black and white with a spot of red on the 14th...
I love that building! Been by there a few times and always wish there was room to step back and really look at it! Great shot....and good for you for taking on a month of b&w!
That's just an awesome structure (from what I can see). Those stones are fantastic. B&W is perfect. The lanterns are pretty serious as well. Nice capture northy.
Yes, we got a snow dump yesterday too...heard it may have been worse your way.
The building looks so enormous, you always get a good sense of scale when there is a person in the shot. Gorgeous stone work, and your processing is great.
What a gorgeous shot! Love your composition on this one! Tell hubby that it does count :) And ahhhh (sad face....sniffle sniffle) no gargoyles... ;( But still in incredible shot!! :)
@shutterbugger tx Jenn... taking on a month of black and white feels quite easy peasy to me... not sure what i will do for the selective colouring, tho... what I want to do prolly wouldn't show up in a thumbnail so we'll have to see :)
I don't know when this was built, but it's a sure bet that it'll be around for a long time to come. Yep, definitely needed a person there to show how massive it really is.
LOVE your tags. I have to get in the habit of reading them. I always forget.
