This is where the Humber River meets Lake Ontario... this bridge is pretty cool, but like the curvy towers from yesterday, it's kinda been shot to death... however, it is architecture, and this is my first time shooting it, so there ya have it...
Although I was too late for sunrise (with the sun rising earlier and earlier, hockey practice drop off is now too late for me to get somewhere to catch the sunrise), it was still a spectacular morning... a glorious early day shot is in my other album... http://365project.org/northy/just-because/2013-02-10
Thank you for all the lovely comments and favs on my curvy towers :)
Northy as always you take wonderful shots!! The ripples in the water & sky add to the photograph as well as the single person standing on the bridge. I can see the city line in the background and not sure if you could get a lower pov to get it all in .... but it all adds wonderful to your photograph!!! a fav for me :)
Wow I love this! Definitely NOT boring!! I love the textures the B&W brings out in it as well. I love this bridge and you brought it to life in this shot! Super job darling :)
Stunner. We all have to take our own shot of the cliche. Often we find something new if we look hard and see what is really there, forgetting what others have done.
@chewyteeth tx tons, Dave! no - i don't put anything on stock sites or anywhere really other than here... i've fallen hugely behind on flickr... but ya gotta know, if you google this bridge, you'll find a gazillion images... :)
this is a great shot! i have a shot of this bridge with a bicyclist riding by. did you take this from the side of the highway? it's kind of a cool place to shoot the water from, ain't it?
@summerfield tx! nope, not by the highway... went down to the waterfront (took some doing to find a parking spot as i'd never been down there before)... i was standing by the railing you can see at the bottom right...
Well done!
