living in a box... on an angle... in black and white...
For "get pushed" this week, @fishy asked that i "think of a photo from a fellow 365'er that has inspired you. I then would like you to recreate that photo, but do it in a way that the end result becomes your very own!"
soooooo... i thought of @janim's "living in a box" series and decided to try to do something along those lines... now, i do a fair number of architecture shots, but i tend to show a big chunk of the building, use black and white and often put things on angles... Jani's shots tend to zoom in more on the detail and geometry, are usually in full colour, and usually with clear horizontal and vertical lines... of course, today of all days he would choose to go monochrome and dark ;p oh well...
tx everyone for all the comments and favs on my pawn shot... i was kind of glad to have hit the mark with it - i was a bit worried that it was too "out there" :)
You've pretty much nailed it here. :) You clearly got the inspiration from Jani, but definitely gave it a Northy twist. I love the little square window bits! :) And the whole shot is fav-worthy. :)
@northy Neat stuff. I am just trying out the new $149 for all six special from Google. Nifty stuff in all of them. Silver has so many presets and gives stunning results I am finding out.
@frankhymus yeah... it's totally the bomb when it comes to black and white... i silver efex last summer, so was able to get the rest of them for free when google announced the bundle... have been having some fun with colour efex as well... :)
