i've spent a good part of the week chasing this... it isn't quite what i had in my head, but it is for the "panic" theme and i am running out of time...
four train shots at different stages of coming in the station layered in photoshop, converted to black and white in nik silver efex and tones added in lightroom... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQAW1MqXDJY
for me, panic is rarely the first stage when confronted with a problem... it's when all my problem-solving solutions turn on me and what first appears as a light at the end of the tunnel turns into that relentless oncoming train...
thanks all for the comments and favs on my two shots from yesterday... have to say, i'm rather stunned by the reaction to my green shot... definitely out of my comfort zone, that one is!
Smashing! Love it. I like the ghostly feel. Thanks for the link too - I am always interested in other people's choice of music. This band reminds me a little bit of Paramore. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEk-ZQ7Ptgo
Wow....great commentary -- the phrase "light at the end ... oncoming train" is one of those quotables that captures the feeling perfectly! As does your image. Fav.
As taffy said you have summed up that feeling of panic perfectly. i am in awe of your processing skills!! and love the composition. Might not have been what you had in your head... but this is great
@steampowered hah! i often wonder whether anyone goes to the youtube link ;p one day i'll have to find a reason to use this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4mwv3ACk3M (although i really don't know much about angelspit - this just happens to be on a compilation CD my husband made for the car)
Fav. Love this image. It doesn't look like four shots, more like motion blur + reflections from another train window. Also thanks for the link, I think I just fell in love with the vocalist :-D
This is fantastic.
