i saw a glorious photo of these doors on flickr recently, and as it's not far from my office, i thought i should give them a go... and this young lady in the brilliant red tights very nicely walked thru the scene for me ;p
i don't really have the tonal quality i was after, but no clue as to whether that has to do with the quality of the available light or my processing... happy to get any thoughts on that...
Great shot of the doors....many...many years ago I saw Gordon Lightfoot in concert there. Also saw the play Annie...I have great memories of that night.
I usually don't like dappled light in a photo but it is precisely the reason I like this. It is soft and gives a wonderful sense of a great time of day. The reds are perfect. I'd be happy with it as is :)
Wonderful shot!! Seriously, love everything about it, the light, the colors, and if I have to be picky about something, I just wish that the girl had moved beyond the doors, so that her red tights would be more visible against the grey stone wall.
