knight of hearts by northy

knight of hearts

my flash of red - although selective colouring wasn't involved... used the iPad app SoftBox... heart shape and colour red... the red was manipulated a bit in LR... works on the black if you are so inclined...

I am not particularly a fan of Valentine's Day and this is not the original concept, but the original concept was a humongous fail and I'm over it... moving on!
.....glad to be the first to Fav ..... awesome idea ....!!!

Beautiful.

So creative- you selected the color so it's still selective coloring! Fav

Fantastic. Fabulous idea and beautifully executed. If this was second choice then I am glad you failed at the first concept. Fav

Fantastic.

It works for me! Looks great.
It's only in recent years that Valentine's Day has become popular in Australia so us oldies don't really get into it much at all ;-)

Well played. Fav!

Fine silhouette against the heart

Fab!

Beautifully executed and very creative. Valentine's day has become so commercial that it's true meaning has been lost.
February 15th, 2015
Nicely designed, very way cool.
February 15th, 2015
Love this. Great graphic design.
February 15th, 2015
Brilliant! Your pictures are very, very beautiful. Well thought out, greatly composed and brilliantly lit.

This is brilliant!

Well, as we say in Maine, "sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats you." Sorry you got chewed on. But I do like this.
February 15th, 2015
oh, dear, that's quite the red heart, but the concept, yet again is original and awesome. i'm holding your phojo hostage. you come shoot with me or else....not now though, it would be foolish in that doomsday cold out there. when it gets warmer. tee-hee!
February 15th, 2015
Yet another great idea and superbly done
February 15th, 2015
@summerfield no kidding... I desperately need to get out though... There's got to be somewhere indoors worth shooting, no?
February 15th, 2015
Perfect!
February 15th, 2015
I like how it's still well over on the dark side of life
February 15th, 2015
Super shot, light
February 15th, 2015
It works so well -- your signature knight pops.
February 15th, 2015
Haha - well the new concept works beautifully.
February 15th, 2015
Love the slight splash of red light under the knight.
February 15th, 2015
Your calendar's looking great, with little splashes of color here and there. I downloaded softbox a long time ago but haven't found a good use for it; great image!
February 15th, 2015
This turned out really neat. Humm...... Never thought of a softbox for the iPad, I'll have to check that out.
February 15th, 2015
Very Creative.............this brought a smile to my face! :)
February 16th, 2015

So creative

I got a Valentine Card, so now I'm a fan... but not of selective colour by software manipulation, so I say this one is good! :-) Some day I'd like to see a selective colour shot that fools me into thinking it was good work in camera!
February 17th, 2015
great creativity and (as usual) light.
February 17th, 2015
so beautiful
February 20th, 2015
