so... this is going to be one great big fat experiment... that i will probably fail at within the week... but hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained... right?
@vignouse has set a challenge of shooting with a nifty fifty (25mm on the micro 4/3) sooc... for the month of September... i am approaching this as an exercise in (a) composition and (b) camera settings with a view to improving my ability to get things as much "right" as possible, "in camera"...
i am also hoping this will reboot my phojo since (c) the 25mm is a light lens so maybe i'll carry my camera around more and (d) with no processing to do at the end of the day it will mean less time required...
that said, i fully expect to be in withdrawal by mid-week as i am a control freak and just won't be happy if i can't edit stuff into submission... the above image is sooc... but it was the 5th or 6th go at trying to get this reasonably "straight"... and even so, it's killing me not to be able to clone out the little nobby bit on the right...
btw, i will prolly still shoot with other lenses and edit stuff this month, but will try hard to do a daily sooc on top of that...
I did dig my 35mm prime out tonight and must say I enjoyed using such a less bulky lens with the advantage it also gives for low light. But I don't think I could do a whole month of it. As my uncle wrote in my wedding card "Good luck you'll need it!" He was right :)
Ha! Have fun!
I shot with the X100 for ages (35mm equivalent) and it does make you think a bit more. Lots of 'zooming with your feet'. :)
SOOC though - couldn't do it. Must. Do. Levels. Adjustment. ;)
Cool. Been enjoying the lightness my 50mm provides on the camera too. I hope I'll get a bit more interesting than flower and leave shots throughout the month though xx
