nothing ever goes as planned... took the camera into the office today and forgot what it was i meant to shoot... didn't like any of my street shots despite some glorious light... had this idea for a set up shot but my light source died on me...
and so begins my month of sooc... i have a love/hate relationship with this challenge... love that the lens is light, and has f/1.7... and in theory one sets it and forgets it... just pull the images off the camera and post them... no need to overthink about what needs fixing... hate all the imperfections i could not deal with INcamera that would be so easy to fix in post, and yet... no...
anyhoo... here we are... not sure if i'll do the full month as we'll be travelling at the end of September and much as i love my 20mm (yeah - i know that's only 40, not 50, but it's still an "f" number and it's close... so...), it is not my go to walk about lens when travelling... so... we'll see...
This is great. There is something about his stance that makes him look as if he means business. Amazing how a simple image with a lego type figure can convey such an attitude.
I have done the 50mm challenge in the past but decided to opt out this year. I have no idea what I'll do from day to day- can't seem to be inspired for anything right now. But something will turn up I'm sure. Good start!
Fab shot northy. I know exactly what you mean about the love/hate relationship. I have no problem with shooting a 50mm prime but I have trouble letting go of the urge to "fix this" or tweak that". I guess it's supposed to be hard. That's why its called a "challenge"
