Ah yes…. It’s September…. And time for me to revisit my love / hate relationship with SOOC…

I don’t really believe in “sooc” because let’s face it - everything is tweaked - whether in camera or out…. And why should i post something that isn’t quite where i want it to be when i can very easily fix it in post?

Then again, it is a good exercise to teach or remind yourself of just how much power you have to control what comes straight out of the camera through careful attention to settings, light and composition…

And it has the added bonus that no time on editing is required…. 🥴

Anyway - not sure I’ll spend the whole month on it, but we’ll see…

(And yes - i maybe should have gone for the James Bond theme - but i named this guy Secret Agent Man way back when so we’ll all just have to deal with it)

I don’t believe in sooc either and I’m hosting the challenge. I do like how it concentrates your mind when taking the shot. It also makes me appreciate how far we’ve come with modern digital cameras and software. Thanks for joining in on this month of old school photography, I hope you stick around to the end. I really like this shot, it’s a great start.
