Frankly, Nova, I'm surprised that, up there, 8 inches of snow would stop school! What did everyone do last year?! We were given the book about "the winter of 2015", and now THAT was some snow! (I hope the teachers are all photographers and made good use of their day off!)
How lovely these trees are in the snow! We have rain and freezing drizzle in the forecast for tomorrow--could get very messy and very slippery--not sure I'll have the courage to go out if it's icy underfoot.
How nice, here it started to snow this night and they predicted quite about 20-50cm over the weekend. We will see,... here in Switzerland we do not have snow days.
Thanks for sharing all your comments on my snow day. I believe because of the timing of the snows arrival (early morning 3 am) there was not enough time for the streets and schools to be cleared in time for the kids to go to school. Which did not seem to be a problem for my girl.
@novab Ha! Never knew a kid to complain about staying home on a snow day! And what you said is exactly what I suggested to Ken that might have been the problem! Now THAT, I understand! Thanks for the confirmation!
oh, winter wonderland, it is. our weather here is kinda funny. after the snow storm on tuesday, now we have plus temperatures. the poor plants and trees are all confused by now.
Can't wait, might prove to be a great photo op!!
And great for the ski hill!
